Evaluation of the Impact of Window Parameters on Energy Demand and CO2 Emission Reduction for a Single-Family House

This article deals with the determination of impact selected parameters on energy consumption for heating and cooling purposes CO2 emissions. Mathematical modelling combined planning a computational experiment was adopted as research method. The database creating models developed using building simulations performed DesignBuilder software. A single-family house an area 101 m2 subject this study. Four deterministic mathematical estimation annual demand heating, cooling, total final demand, emissions were developed. affecting balance house: glazing system (three levels), U-value windows (two-, three- four-pane), external walls (0.1, 0.15, 0.2 W/m2K) location (Warsaw, Berlin, Paris) considered. discusses in detail influence individual factors their common interactions. It found that level thermal insulation plays most important role saving energy. factor only one to show stable significant reduction thus all four objective functions.
